Terrain Editor Broke?

Is the terrain editor in the latest version broken? I keep trying to edit the terrain, nothing happens. Its stuck on the square brush, and simply won't work. Any ideas? Using MIT source, thanks in advance! -Michael S

Try applying the set of default terrain materials first in the Terrain template provided. There must be correct levels of intensity with detail and diffuse textures needed when you create new terrain materials.
Have you tried using the compiled version and got the same results?
