3.d mesh

by Gary Roberson · in Torque 2D Beginner · 08/31/2014 (3:19 pm) · 7 replies

I just found out about the Linux - android support included with t2d.
I have a game in mind that is 2.d in nature but uses 3.d meshes.
So the question is. Is it possible to load a 3.d mesh in t2.d

Currently, no. T2D only supports 2D assets in PNG/JPG format, along with advanced animation via AnimatedAsset and Spine. However, practicing01 is working on support for Assimp, which would allow for 3D mesh support. This is the thread in question

Glad I could help. For future reference, everyone around this community calls me "Mich." I'm not fancy or authoritative enough to be a "Mr. Perry" =).

Mr Perry is actually a Torque genius and well, he hates 'Mr. Perry' but, out of respect, I refer to him in conversations (at times) like that as well :-) Ain't that right... Mr. Perry?
