fluorescent lamp tube using T3D lighting?

Greets all...

Wondering if anyone out there has a datablock/starting point for a T3D light object that emulates a long tubular fluorescent lamp...

...I've already added the glow map to the model's texture, but I need a light source coming from it. Think spooky, empty parking lot lamps...

@Nils. oh! this is magnificent charm I think. :) I'm wondering is it possible to use not only black and white, for obtaining an effect of colored stained glass, or projector for slides?

There's nothing that gives more more fun than experimentation! :)

I know but I ask because now for the area access to personally check out, but curiosity gives me no peace, so I ask :)

I finally tried to make the practice, but it was not the first attempt, due to the fact that the cookie will work only in a mode when set, "Advanced Lighting". And though it upset me a little, but still, I found that the opportunity to create a movie-Proektor effect it is possible! and it looks amazing :) I would very much wanted to work and the "Basic lighting".

That's correct, it only works with advanced lighting

yknow, i never tried it but can you animate a cookie ?

I don't think that's implemented, but I don't see why animated cookies would be terribly difficult - just give them an image list instead of a single image and have it update....

As for the "tube" light idea - UE4 just introduced that very thing, so it can be done. Might have to borrow the algorithm and reimplement it in T3D....
