Anyone play 'Villagers & Heroes' since the switch to T3D?

Hello,
As the subject asks, I'm wondering if anyone here plays V&H, since they switched over to T3D, from TGEA?
I checked it out again just recently and was really rather surprised at how sluggish and "off" it felt to me. I had the graphics settings turned up to maybe a bit below top settings, and couldn't get more than 25fps - even in a more remote, less populated area. This was kind of surprising to me, as I'd imagined the T3D engine would run a lot better than that; and I get 60+ FPS in far more demanding games, including MMOs with dozens of other players about, etc.
Now, I don't know if it has something to do with how the world is designed, or maybe just some weird compatibility thing between the engine and my hardware, but I found its performance under even moderate conditions to be rather underwhelming.
For reference, my system is:
AMD PhenomII x6 @ 3Ghz
8 Gigs RAM
NVidia GTX 560Ti
Windows 7 64-Bit
So, again.. I'm not "complaining". I'm just genuinely curious if that's at all indicative of T3D's actual performance in a real-world application, or if there's just something about that particular game that might be slowing it down? Or, perhaps, a hardware compatibility issue?

I'm not entirely sure what the answer is to all your questions there. I'm just going on a general idea of comparing V&H to other games I've played that were a lot heavier on the GPU but had better performance.
Perhaps it is just a case of having to optimize the engine. I just found it odd that my FPS were staying as low as they were.
It was a very "light" scene. Just a hill top with some trees and a lake nearby with some enemies and a few NPCs. Nothing at all crowded or active.
No big deal. More of a curiosity than anything, since there's not really anything I can do about it either way lol.

I'm sure that the developers would appreciate feedback. From the video posted a while back it appeared to be running pretty smoothly....

I may go ahead and contact them with that info. Just want to make sure it's not taken as me bashing on them or the game lol. I actually really enjoy the game, just surprised at the performance.

Yeah, it looks very smooth in the videos I've seen. It's kinda one of those things you have "feel out", though. The frame-rate, however, is definitely dropping into the 25-ish range, which is surprisingly low. I may go ahead and contact them with that info. I believe V&H was originally using TGE so making the jump to T3D is a large undertaking. I suspect performance will improve over time.
