Sound issue, trying to get chat sounds to work in my new Realmwars, mod?

by Jack Hemphill · in Torque Developer Network · 08/23/2013 (2:38 am) · 5 replies

I have coded in a new chat menu for RealmWars, like tribes2 has with text and sounds for things like saying HI... my test wavs are from tribes2, none play, even ones from Legends the game, don't play..
Help!

Also if anyone knows how to get the crosshairs for weapons working, please tell me.

er, you have a .wav file there with no filename. and gbl.hi.wav looks a little odd to say the least on the filename too, check your links ?

Thanks for the reply,

After testing some more, I found out it was the wavs sample rate, after just opening it and re-saving as, with Audacity, it now plays.

Jack, recommend you double check your naming format. using'.' in a file name is a large no-no in any language. Recommend you replace them with '_'.
