torque 3d run slow

Hello, i run the last version of torque3d but the default scene and the demo games (pacific, desert ball) run very slow (with low settings too), other games and game engines run fine in my pc (intel quad core 2.4ghz 4GB and geforce 8600GT-512mb) with XP64, then the problem is my soft-hardware setup or torque need better hardware to run fine? thanks.
