Hey guys. For the past 6 months I've been doing contract work on a game project for Phantom Compass, an Indie Studio developing its own IP, using TGEA.

Following the trend of the software development industry, the project went beyond initial time/budget estimations. It is however, fairly advanced, and nobody on the team wants to let the project stall at its final stages.

So once more, we thought about this community, as the more important asset Torque has: we need help with some tasks, in order to finish some touches to the core gameplay, and be able to proceed with full polishing (and content work, such as quests, environment tweaks, etc).

The project Producer/Lead, Tony Walsh, posted about in the projects blog:
Quote:We’re looking for some volunteers to help finish Dionysian Dream, our learning game about Greek drama for high school, college and university students.

The game has been in development since early 2009, and like many game projects has gone over time and over budget. Produced and developed by Phantom Compass, a Toronto-based game developer (that's us), Dionysian Dream is very close to completion. But we’re flat out of cash.

At this point we can offer only the glory of your name appearing in the game credits.

If you’re still reading, we’re looking for the following workers to join our team:

Audio Scripter: You will implement audio events including some emitters in the mission editor, sound profiles, and will be working with several well-documented custom audio features. We need you to interface with our technical lead and audio designer in order to make a series of sound triggers and other objects function as designed.

Save/Load System Programmer: Our game is a role-playing game. The player needs to be able to save the complete game state and recall that state between game sessions. You would interface with our technical director and revise our existing documentation and GUI system to implement a save/load system.

Our team uses an online project management system--you would need to participate in this system, which includes SVN, a ticketing system, and other collaboration tools.

If you are interested in any of these roles, please send an email describing your qualifications and availability to Tony Walsh, hq at phantomcompass dot com.

Thanks!

I am the 'technical director' mentioned above ^^

The team works mostly remotely, if you are based on Canada Tony may feel happier, but we work online based on Assembla.

Thanks so much in advance, to anyone that could give a hand with the mentioned tasks.
