Friday!

.. well things are good here at work.
I've put together a new Engine for use here.
it is a sweet little unit.

everything is centralized.

All the drawing happens in One place.
it loads dll modules for gameplay.
the engine Core simply enumerates resources from the modules
and inserts them into the engine
the Zone definitions then lookup those resources and instantiate the zone.
the engine essentially operates the zones the input and the networking.

overall it is pretty tight.
small and fast. I like it
Much cleaner and funner to work in than the current solution we have.

I was gonna use torque, and had the company ok with that.
But we decided it was overkill bigtime for the type of products we are creating.
so I rolled my own.

Glad you could contribute such a stupid post to the stupidly long thread, Westy :-) Yeah, this one is getting a little long, but, what the heck - it's a fluff.

Congratz on the marrage, Clutch! Good luck!

(I can't believe I've been following this thread for a year now. Or that I've posted more than once.)

This weekend's job is to optimize the Mac port of TZ a bit more, and re-write an 1967 Land Cruiser (which is over half done already) Oh, What fun! :-)
