I once heard someone say that GarageGames is like a cockroach that never dies. Truth be told, the heart of GarageGames is the community that drives it and GarageGames "formal" hasn't played a role in GG for nearly as long as we did.

Ok, this was original a series of posts http://www.garagegames.com/community/blogs/view/16633. But it triggered something that has been bothering me for some time. The "Creepy Factor". The things that make games scary, it's been covered before here on GG, but it's becoming a serious factor for me.

First off, I'd like to thank everyone for all of the kind words over the past couple of weeks. Your response has been overwhelming. A thousand posts is a new record for us and during this time I saw a bunch of notifications for Torque based games being launched. We've had to be quiet the past couple of weeks

On February 5th, 2013, Torque 2D 2.0 was released to the world for the first time under an open source MIT license. Between then and now, over a year has passed with a lot of learning and adjusting to an open source development model. Slowly but surely, feature after feature was added to the engine, bugs were fixed, and documentation was written. Today we can proudly present to everyone Torque 2D 3.0.
