- Summary:
- Wrote a whole bunch of games when I was in my teens. In my current day job, I am an engineer managing a couple of serious software/hardware projects (no games). I have had to manage development and logistics issues, system and software testing plans and schedules, and even had to develop my own in-house support tools. I am also conversant in Knowledge Management and have participated in APQC activities.
I am pretty comfortable with TGB pro (since 4th Apr 2010) and look forward to T2D at a later date when it is released. I love to think out of the box and hope to hit the indie scene soon with my own game. Currently interested in platform type (think Turtix), HOG, SHMUP, and Match 3 game genres.
I just got myself T3D Pro on 21 Jan 2011, and am looking earnestly to learning the entire software.
I have a blog on games titled Daily PC Game Reviews - http://dailpcgamereviews.blogspot.com.
I play a whole lot of games (own more than 500 and the collection is still growing). I am familiar with the history of games as well as conversant with all the genres available (from Zorgon's Revenge on Oric Atmos to Lode Runner on Apple and more weird gems). I personally love RTS, FPS, RPG, and casual games. My favorite RTS games include C&C, HOMM, Spellforce, and the King's Bounty series.
I am also musically inclined and plan to compose my own theme music for my games in the near future (with the MAGIX Music Maker tools). I have also dabbled with Bryce, and 3D Studio before as well as done editing for Unreal and Quake.
I am willing to relocate to another country for any serious job offers. I am conversant in C, C++, Torquescript, Visual Basic, DBPro, PL/M, Pascal, Assembly. I deal mainly with project management of various aviation software projects and have been deeply involved in many system development cycles (from definition to documentation to testing). Most of these software are obviously safety critical. Hence, I am quite a stickler to coding rules and details.
My avatar picture shows me in the Lake of the Ozarks having a lovely catfish lunch buffet at the "Happy Fisherman"! Needless to say I have travelled far and wide.
