Tridinaut is proud to announce the release of the Medieval Weapons Pack, the next in the line of Torque powered content packs. The Medieval Weapons pack comes with 53 High Quality Weapons that come ready for both Torque and the Torque Shader Engine. All of these objects and textures make this pack perfect for experimenting and building a complete fantasy or medieval arsenal!

Just look at some of what you'll get:

Torque Shader Engine Scripts for quickly bringing the weapons into the Shader Engine, axes, swords, shields, crossbows, polearms and more! Full source is included to help in learning how the weapons were created.

Each weapon is individually handcrafted with no two being alike, and comes with full source for complete customization, or just to learn how the pro's do it. Each weapon also comes with Level of Detail and an average polycount of about 250 triangles for not only good looks, but fast performance where it counts.

And with the Torque Shader Engine Material Definitions, these weapons can be dragged & dropped into TSE. Lengthy texture material write-ups and specular properties and masking have already been figured out for you based on material! For those who are new to the shader engine, a write-up on how the material definitions were made is included to help ease the process and any confusion.

Tridinaut Content Packs contain shapes, textures and scripts designed specifically to work easily with the Torque Game Engine and the Torque Shader Engine, but with full source, these can be used anywhere!

Here are some compelling reasons to purchase content packs:

  • You can experiment with a set of "widgets" that are beyond what is included in the Torque Demo Application.
  • You can quickly prototype your idea, solving the "chicken and egg" problem of needing to attract team members in order to build a product that is good enough to "attract team members."
  • It gives developers access to commonly used items for a reasonable cost.
  • It frees artists up to make game specific content, rather than spend time making commonly used items.
  • The developers who have created the shapes have experience with real time games, they are guaranteed to work, and they are of the highest quality.
  • The cost of the shape is reasonable considering how much time you would have to spend to create the shape and/or contract the shape out to an artist.
  • These shapes have been expertly tuned to work with the Torque Game Engine.
