GISH

Life isn't easy when you're a twelve pound ball of tar
As an amorphous ball of tar that rolls and squishes around, players experience a one-of-a-kind, 2D side-scrolling action-adventure game featuring unique gameplay only provided by GISH.
The main character, a ball of tar named Gish, is in search of his beloved Brea, who has been kidnapped by the villainous unknown assailant. His journey deep into the underworld drags the player into an increasingly challenging labyrinth of puzzle-filled levels. Gish is well equipped to manipulate his gelatinous body through dangerous levels filled with deadly spikes and twisted abominations as he solves mind-boggling puzzles and sloshes his way through hours of wild gameplay.
Using his jello-like body GISH is able to adapt to his surroundings, becoming sticky to climb walls, slick to slide through tight cracks and heavy to break through walls, bad guys, and the like. By expanding his body at a rapid rate Gish is able to quickly project himself into the air and attach to almost anything in his path.
While the solo gameplay of GISH is extremely addictive, ChronicLogic has provided the gamer with several other modes of gameplay. GISH also contains a specialized play room in which to practice all the different tar-ball skills of climbing, squishing, sliming and steamrolling. For a change of pace, the developers at ChronicLogic have provided a unique head-to-head competition mode which PCGamer UK calls "a great sticky glob of gaming goodness."Quotes and Comments:

"Why spend $50 for the same old FPS, hack and slash, or RPG that you've played 1000 times already? What the industry is missing is innovation and thats what this game delivers. Its totally addictive and totally original. For $19.99 you get one of the best games you've played in a long time AND you can install it on multiple computers without the need to have a CD in the drive or anything that make playing the game more difficult than it needs to be. Not only that, but I'm able to play it in linux when I want, and windows when I need to be there. Great game, great value, great buy."
