Shore leave is supposed to be a happy time for a pirate, filled with carousing, picking fights, and tax-free plundering. Sadly, this was not the case for Deckhand Dewey. His girlfriend, Ruby Barnacle, was arrested outside the Shark Tooth Tavern for associating with a known pirate. Little does Dewey know, the Governor of Port Baron is using Ruby as bait to lure the biggest fish of all: Dewey's boss, the infamous Captain Caninbahl...
Plunder, Pillage, and Puzzle
Follow the adventures of Captain Caninbahl, Barley, Deckhand Dewey, Ruby Barnacle, and Planky the Parrot as they plunder their way through caves, underwater shipwrecks, and dangerous port towns. The Pirate Tales is a match-3 puzzle game spanning 100 chapter-style levels. Perform typical (and not-so-typical) pirating duties, plunder treasure, and fight opponents in your quest to rescue Dewey's girlfriend, Ruby Barnacle.
The character and scenario you play as all depends on the direction the story goes, as do the objective types. The Pirate Tales isn't just simple bubble matching and swapping -- different twists throughout this pirate tale will require you to perform up to three of four total objectives types (clearing tiles, plundering treasure, defeating enemies, and obtaining story pieces) in a single level. Each level is uniquely designed to provide new challenges and constantly evolving puzzles, keeping the gameplay as fresh as the salty air of the Caribbean.
It's a Pirate's Life For Me
With the help of a magic talisman that gives you the power to defeat enemies and collect extra treasure, navigate through a sea of twists and turns to save Ruby and and the pirating way of life.
