Beta 5 Issue - Selectings scene objects and lights

Ok, not so much a bug as a usability issue, though I marked it as one. Basically, when you click on your viewpoint to select something, if that something is in the bounds box of a light, the light is selected instead. Take this screenshot :

From that exact camera position, if I click directly on the right crate mesh, the point light down the corridor gets selected, as shown. I have to move the camera to "inside" the light radius to be able to select a static mesh.
In a scene with many lights, it starts to get quite annoying. Please can we make it so that only clicking on the lightbulb icon selects a light?

If it was up to me... bounding box selection of object would just not exist. Its always problematic... icon selection or mesh based selection is much better.
