TGB --> Torque X 2D

So I have TGB and TX2D. I'm new to game programming and currently studing a full course at the Game Instituite. The Ciriculm is:

2 Courses in C++
2 Courses in DirectX9 (seems dated but what the hell)
Artificial Intelligence Fundementals
Physics for Game Developers
2 Courses in Math

I decided to go with Torque as the community seems extremely well founded, nice and accesible. I also don't believe in reinventing the wheel. Though I know one must learn the fundementals in order to build a solid foundation I also think a lot of work has already been done, why not draw upon it.

Any how, here's my basic question:

Would is be safe to say that a noob should start with TGB as the tutorial are available there, where in TX2D the tutorials are sparse at best?

Absolutely TGB is way easier since you can complete a game using torque script alone.
However, if you already know C# to a good level, tx may be easier for you.
As far as tutorial. TGB rocks.
