Anyways... I've just purchased the upgrade to the Gold version, and I'm hoping not to go through that again (I'd like to be able to start marbling as soon as I install it), and reading the above comments makes me hopeful that perhaps I can do the following:
1) Install MBG on my work PC.
2) Register MBG online on my work PC.
3) Copy the ignition file generated by the registration process onto a disc,
along with the MBG installer.
4) Take said files home, install MBG at home, and copy the ignition file
into the MBG directory.
5) Start playing...
Will this work?
Thanks!

I don't have a net connection at home, but I do have one at work. I purchased Marble Blast through via my work computer and took it home to install and (I thought) play. I consequently found that I needed to go back and forth between work and home again to plug the numbers into the 'offline registration' web page, and copy the ignition file back to my home machine. All a little annoying to go through, although I realise these circumstances are probably not typical!Anyways... I am in the same situation than Shadowcat with a little extra: my work computer is a Windows 98 pc and my home computer (the one I want MBG to run on) is a Mac OSX G4...
Will there be a problem with the ignition file?
Also, if I want to install MBG at work (...), will there be a problem if I download both versions (osx and w98)?
Thanx!

Look in the My Garage section of the site and in small text below the "Downloadable Products You Own" section you will find a link to info on creating an offline registration file, it lets you select platform when you do so.

Maxime - there won't be a problem downloading both OS X and win98 version, the same ignition key will work for all platforms. You should even be able to get the offline registration file across platform (in theory) though I havn't tried it. actual OS on a particular pc. I run 3 pc's at home and have all games on D: which is then mirrored to the others ( using a registry tool to snapshot game changes ) which works fine exept for Marbleblast and orbz for which i have had to set up some batch files to swap the right ignition file in at run time. ( not to mention they all multiboot as well :)
I don't like the scheme, but there being linux versions is what swayed me ( just )

In my experience the ignition files appear to be tied to theactual OS on a particular pc.
