Particle Effects from nodes

For our game i would like to make nodes in chimneys, fire places, torches, etc that are just called things like smoke, fire, water, and then in the particleEmitter.cs for example firePlace.cs tell the particle to emit from every node named firePlace. this would be ideal as we have cities with 100s of buildings in them and placing all the particle effects would be a nightmare.
