car and road mesh

when a car is on the road mesh, the engine gets slow

Is it the engine that gets slow as in - your fps goes down -
or is it that car gets slow because it is jarring/hitting/get_caught_on the edges/lips or the top mesh surface?

I found with my player that it sticks slightly when running on a mesh road because it is hitting the edge of the top of the road mesh polys. It creates a little resistance when moving.

The meshRoad collision is very unoptimized currently. Logged for further work THREED-581

it isn't just the car slow down, everything slow down

It doesn't appear to be just with road meshes. I got the same results trying to drive the assault buggy through the large open wagon in Warrior Camp.
