Hello all
I'm looking for a way create Collision and/or Level of Detail whitin my .dae models.
I used to do it with .dts and that worked fine, bu now i switched to Maya 2009 and i decided to gice Collada a test.
How would i do that? and/or are there any tutorials i can try?
I'm using the Torque 3D Beta.
thanks in advance.

Another problem is that i cannot open the cached.dts file with showtool pro, so it's kinda hard to test it.
thanks for the reply.

I'll have it another test then. I tried it before but it didn't work for me. Another problem is that i cannot open the cached.dts file with showtool pro, so it's kinda hard to test it.
thanks for the reply.

The new DTSs that are generated by Torque3D when you load a DAE are a newer file version of DTS than what TSTPro loads. So unfortunately you cannot use TSTPro at this time to view DAE loaded results.

Is there any other way to test and inspect my models then? or should i just load them up and hope for the best?

Look at the DTS setup in the art pipeline section of TGEA. follow that, export as collada. then set "collision mesh" attribute to the object in T3d. Check the node architechture in the Shape Editor.
