Guys very sorry, but for me this site is a mess...

I'm really sad, because this site is really plenty of nice people who really help to others, but I'm tired to see in other forums complaining about the help from garage games(in most of the cases is not people from here), but in some way I can understand that.
This site is better than the older one, but...still a mess. For example, why there's not sticky things for issues. I don't know in the other places, but is really annoying to have to navigate to the really past posts to find some solutions, that probably can solve some frustating attempts to do something (for example there's an issue with the wav files when we use the platform starter kit in the torque x engine, and I found this issue and the possible solution navigating between posts, but I'm not able to find anymore).
I think this kind of stuff has to be in the first position of the threads, I don't know probably in KNOWN ISSUES and when they're solved in some place very close, can be indicated or probably a kind of READ FIRST.
Other mess, the RESOURCES, guys most of you only work with one engine...why we have to see mixed the resources with other engines, it's really hard to find something, probably can be more well explained (a footer indicating the name of the engine). I know is really hard to separate all the stuff, but probably we can have some kind of administrators in each forum (I'm not saying the kind of guy who can administrate what we can say or who can talk), I'm talking a kind of guy who can organize in some way the threads.
Probably a lot of you know, what makes the difference between a good company and a really good company, and probably the most noticeable is the help. Guys we have an excellent site, with excellent people, we have to work more on that. Thanks for read me
---EDIT---
Ok I found some of the resources and the issues I'm talking in the TDN, but my opinion still the same.

You know I kinda feel the same way, for example a lot of the times folks yell at you to search for the resource as its all ready been done, fixed, discussed or what ever. But most of the good forum posts, resources, articles or what ever get lost in the muck.

I think a rating system would help solve this, some way of wading through all of the average posts. For example the killer-kork script has one original resource with lots of comments, ect. This should be ranked higher than all of the endless forum posts that just randomly say killer kork. Even if all the system did was rank topics with the most reply's first, this should help finding original works and solutions.

I once thought that it would be a great idea to have a solution forum, where anytime a problem or scenario was solved it would be moved to that location. How ever thats pretty much what the entire resource genre is. So just having a more effective resource navigation and searching, I believe, will greatly help end duplicate posts, frustration from not getting things solved, ect.

Thanks,

If you're looking for a page ranking system, why not just use a search engine that already has a very, very good one?

Google search for "killer kork site:garagegames.com"

For a couple of years, I've been doing alot of Civilization IV modding, which requires alot of user research and communication since it's basically otherwise undocumented. CivFanatics has a far better organization and forum functionality, using freely available forum technology.

Maybe because the gg guys are all programmers they think they can roll their own, but there is far more advanced solutions available for online communities.

"if your wanting to make a game, why not just pay some to do it all"

Is your idea sherman, so no thanks..

Google is great and all, but its not the Free card to design crap organization.

The problem with those commercial apps is that they are not as secure as one rolled out of GG's existing code. They would have to be modded/hacked into working with this site. Not a good solution.
For GG, continueing to improve this site and it's forum would be more benificial.
