Need Help!!!!

Hello Everybody,
I am NEW to this blog and would like to say Good Morning to you!
I am interested to develop a game for iphone and the same to be hosted on the web. I have heard a lot of good things about GG. I need your assistance to make a decision before i purchase.
What would i need to buy to accomplish my goal?

Any help is highly appreciated.

Is it possible if I buy the 3D engine TGE and use it for 2D purposes, I mean will I be able to work on a 2D game in the 3D game engine?

You could in theory, but it's not a good idea. TGB is specifically designed for 2d games and has many features (especially in the editor) for 2d games that TGE lacks. If you're entirely new to this, I would recommend TGB as it is much easier to use and to prototype with.
