my interior keeps crashing the engine

by Dion Bailey · in Torque Game Engine · 03/07/2003 (3:21 am) · 3 replies

I created a big hollow interior block using valve hammer, it exports ok but when i load it into the scene with other objects in the scene, it crashes straight away, with no objects but the terrain left it eventually crashes the engine.

My guess is a memory problem, but i dont know how to fix it. Any ideas would be appriciated

Yeah that happened to me so i stopped using torque for awhile. I think it may be that you dont have the textures in the right directory.

Hmmmm, how big was the block and are you sure its properly sealed?

1. Have you run this in DEBUG mode? That will give you some clues.
2. Is the dif totally sealed? I'm assuming you want to teleport to the inside perhaps--if not, why is it hollow?
3. Although I don't think size is the issue, how big is it?
4. Do you see the proper surface texture(s) on the dif for the time the engine is running?
