I knew from the begining that Garage Games would make an impact, this was finaly brought home to me today, when i picked up my issue of pc format here in the good old UK, I have read this magazine every month for the last 4 years, when browsing through the game demos i spotted

yea!!!

this is great. BUT...

Don't you think garagegames has too many ppl and companies or projects? some ppl r just walking in and making a company. they usually don't even know how to do anything that has to do with game making! i think we should stop accepting new signups cause this is ridiculus! ':(

I think that is the point. GG is giving people who are willing to pay $100 for the engine to try to realize their dream. I know that there is a slim chance that I will ever ship a game but I do feel like I am learning alot about game making and what goes into it. I don't see a reason to stop people from setting up companies and projects. If they don't finish a game what do you care. It seems pretty easy to get a feel for if a project or company has a chance to succeed so I really don't see this as a problem.

@ cameron
You've really struck on to something... but why stop at garagegames? More than the internet, the world is full of people as well just walking around uselessly. Instead of gg shutting its doors, people around the world should just stop having babies! Brilliant! Leave more precious space for us! (...crickets....)

Cameron, wouldn't Garage Games lose it's purpose if we stopped sign ups?
