iTGB not showing up in forum list anymore.

by Bret Patterson · in iTorque 2D · 07/10/2009 (8:23 am) · 22 replies

For some reason iTGB isn't showing up in my forum list anymore. Anyone having this problem? The only way I can get to it is to go to a thread I'm watching and then click on the iTGB forum link there.

Yeah, and why is iTGE listed as Private and iTGB not in the Advanced Search mode? Aren't we special enough anymore?!

I can see it, right underneath the Engines section. The forum is now fully public, since it is in release state.

Any engine in Beta will remain private until the first release.

Sorry it shows up in the Engines section but not in My Products section, which is at the top and I tend to use more often. No biggie, didn't even know the "Engines" section was there since I'm use to the My Products section.

I have the same issue, I can get to it via the engines section but it was pretty convenient when I could get to it via the my products section since that is right up at the top.

Yep, when I click on Forums, My Products show TGB and Torque X 2D. No iTGB. :(

The My Products list is for Private forums, which is why it is not listed there any longer. Personally, I would like to see a way to add up to 10 forums to that list, public or private. So that way each dev can customize how they browse. Of course, I just barely thought of this just now.

This forum is no longer private?

Well that doesn't make much sense as the My Products list is currently made up of both private and public forums. Possibly a bug from making the forums public? Personally I'd rather it be that if a product I own has a forum it shows up in the list regardless of being public or private.

Hmmm...The My Products list on the forums on my account is all private. Could you send me a screenshot, Scott?

Yeah, under My Products I still have Torque Game Engine listed, which is a public forum, is it not?

Alright, here's a little more on what is happening. There are enough slots for the private forums on the list, and to ensure people did not freak out about "losing access to their engines" (which is good, because I have already gotten a slew of e-mail about people not having access to the iTGB forum after the change because it wasn't where they were used to seeing it) we kept some of them there as shortcuts to some of the engines. Which is why some of them show up for some people and not for others. Since I have access to all of the private forums, there is not room for any of the public engines on the list; which led to my confusion. Some of you have access to less, so there are a mixture on the list.

It's confusing as hell because it says "My Products" but doesn't say anything about it being "Private forums".

Might want to change the title since it doesn't reflect what it is, or preferrably, have it show the forums for the products we own. Right now having a separate list at the top for "private" forums is pretty useless.

I'd like the list of forums I access on a regular basis up there, which is the forums for the products I own.

I would like a favorite system so that you can add up to ten forums that you use consistently to your "favorites". And those would be at the top. In reality, it would probably be around five since we do not have a mega-site like GameFAQs with a board for most every game on a major system and people playing multiple titles and following the boards. I'll have to see if that's a possible want.

that would be ideal, I was just trying to keep it simple :). But yes a favorites would be perfect.
