Tilemaps Not Saving Properly/Working

Alright. So, I purchased the software specifically to finish a final project in my class. I've made all of the assets I require for level 01. I also purchased the platformer kit.
Unfortunately when I try to make tilemaps with my assets, they don't SAVE properly. What I mean is... there is NO place to actually type in a name for the tilemap. So, what I resorted to doing was copying the untitled tile map a bunch of times and then renaming it what I need it to be and selecting that as I saved new files.
Unfortunately, now only half of the tilemaps are showing up in the actual game when I try to play it, even though the actual tiles themselves show up when I drag them in.
Did I cause some kind of major catastrophe by screwing with the files?
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks! :)

Yes. When I try to save, it has no place for me to pick the actual name I want to save as. It only lets me pick one that is already there and save it.

As in, if you normally save something without giving it a name, it saves as untitled. In this case, since I cannot name the tilemap when I save, I can only pick and save over the same file over and over.:/

There's a way to disable it, but not being a Vista user myself, I'm unable to tell you how.
If it's really urgent, you can try uninstalling the program and reinstalling it outside of Program Files, then try saving the tilemaps again.

It sounds like a vista problem. I'm not a vista user myself, but I've heard that the security system may prevent saving of files if your program is installed in the Program Files folder. There's a way to disable it, but not being a Vista user myself, I'm unable to tell you how.

yeah, it sound like a vista problem, i've made no less than 30 tilemaps for my ongoing project, and, while there are times they dont work as expected at runtime, i do actually manage to work with them no problem at design time.

Now that I've saved it directly into my C:/ outside of the Program Files folder... it works like a CHARM!
God Forbid, when I try to save my tiles now they actually WANT to be saved.
Thanks again guys. I only have four weeks to complete my entire project... and I've pretty much got my assets nailed down. I'm a team of 1 versus a Team of 5 at the moment (We're working on our finals.), so I need to get as much right as possible!
I'll definitely post something up when I'm done. :)

Nevermind. Hold that thought... tilemaps save now, but I still can't SEE anything. :/
