Vehicle Weapons

I have been working under the racing mod for some time now, and have begun trying to implement simple weapon mounts for my vehicles.
So far, this has been a "hit and miss" process with all misses and no hits.
I have studied the player data blocks, as well as some others, but can't seem to get it right.
I have also searched the forums and the resources for a tutorial or something, but that pulls up nada.
Anyone have any info on implementing vehicle weapons, or maybe (preferably) a link to a tutorial?

Gilles: Appreciated, but I checked that out earlier. The download is no longer valid. Error 404 + feylab site is "temporarily unavailable". =/

Kirby I was going to e-mail you the zip file but you have no public e-mail. If you want you can e-mail me and I will reply with the zip file. This way you can keep your e-mail private. I will get it to you asap.

I'll email you this evening. My work tends to frown on that kind of thing, and since they contract to the government, I tend to not "stir the kiln" so to speak. ;-)thank you for your generous offer... this will be a great help! (C:

I may have to look into hosting this on my own personal web server if the need is great enough...

I sent you both the file. I tried to upload it to GG, but it has a file cap, and apparently 670k is too big. =/I may have to look into hosting this on my own personal web server if the need is great enough...

If anyone needs to have files hosted or anything I can do it. I have plenty of space and bandwidth to spare, so just email me if you want me to host something. Oh, and thanks for sending that file.

Scott... I'd say that there are probably alot of people out there who could really use this file!
It'd definitely be worth hosting! I had weapons working within 30 minutes of cracking these files, so it's a definite boone to the community.
If you host it, that's cool, but if not, let me know and I will put it up on my server.
Cheers!

I make changes to that file from time to time.
I do not want to have to deal with questions about old versions that are being hosted on 40 different sites.
The replacement DSL line FINALLY got installed last friday and I'm testing the connection and re-building the webserver now.
I appreciate the offers of hosting, but from a support standpoint the possible problems will outweigh the benefit gained by someone else hosting the files.
And as was noted earlier in the thread... the file is too large to be hosted on GG's server, hence the hosting from my own site.

I didn't realize Harold. Your point about the different version is well understood, but hey, I didn't even know your server was down. ;-)
Glad to hear you're "back"... so to speak.
