Multiple Instances of T3D on Same Machine

Is anyone able to run multiple instances of T3D on the same machine? When I launch the 2nd instance, it runs but doesn't go anywhere but I can see it in the Windows Task Manager taking up about 23mb.

I am not using the Toolbar/Toolbox - just launching directly the project exe.

I had 5 instances going one time -- a server, and then 4 client connections. Not really sure why I did such a thing...

I can get about 10 running but I only have 'access' to 1 of them via the task bar. :(

The only thing I'm noticing are crashes when I fire a rocket at another player in the FPS genere. It doesn't happen all the time but it is happening.

Thanks Michael - some reason what you said sparked my brain on that one. LOL

Sorry guys. I have figured it out - its something I knew but didn't realize I was doing. I am only able to run multiple-instances when running a 'Release' build. I was running a Debug build previously. Thanks Michael - some reason what you said sparked my brain on that one. LOL

Had to do this in Basic Lighting on this computer -- and even with 4 instances it was still "playable" :D

Ahh, glad you figured that out. I was just testing to make sure because multiplayer was busted in Beta2... Had to do this in Basic Lighting on this computer -- and even with 4 instances it was still "playable" :D

@Jesse: trying lowering the areaImpulse of the Rocket projectile(s). Also try increasing the mass of the healthpatch and the weapon Items. That problem still seems to crop every so often :( I haven't had it happen to me in months, but someone else reported that also not long ago. Has something to do with impulse to mass ratios -- some computers don't like a ratio greater than 1:5. If it persists then I'll have to change some things by the next beta.

I don't use the Toolbar apart from creating a new project.
Any particular reason you'd want multi instances on one box?
