Hello

I have FINALLY found some time to start working with Blender 3D. I found a great book "Introducing Character Animation with Blender". I went to the site, downloaded the latest Blender 3D (2.49a) for my Mac (intel). I read through the book & take in some knowledge. When the time comes to use Blender somewhere along the text, the pain & frustration begins, too. The interface is really, really, really laggy. It takes up to 45 seconds for something to occur when I click a button. I have NO clue how to fix this, but I know this happens with other Blender users, too. Here, please take a look at my specs:

Mac Leopard 10.5.7

Blender 3D 2.49a (intel version)

I did some research before I posted this and found out that other Leopard users are having the same problem. Is there a way to fix this? I'd hate having to continue with Blender as is. And downgrading from Leopard? That would be a waste because it has SO many other features I certainly do need.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It seems to be a common problem - have you tried the advice here?

Thanks. I will look into this.

However, for some reason, it seems to be running a little faster now. I'm currently having no issues. It seems to be random. When the problem comes back, I will use the method that the link you showed me describes.

Once again, thanks :)
