21-6 is looking for an artist and a programmer

by Dave Myers · in Jobs · 02/24/2003 (8:31 pm) · 0 replies

21-6 has produced and published 2 titles to-date - Orbz and Cyclone. We are also currently helping Bravetree finish up ThinkTanks. Now that development on Orbz and ThinkTanks is rapidly coming to a close, we are gearing up to develop our next two titles. One of these titles is a Torque Game Engine-based title and one is a 2D title using our proprietary 2D game engine.

We are looking for a solid programmer and a talented artist to help develop our next 2D title:

Programmer

The ideal candidate would have:

o Minimum of three years of programming experience in C++ in a Windows environment
o Previous experience either developing a full game or mod for an existing game
o Experience with DirectX

Artist

The ideal candidate would have:

o Good 2D art skills (Photoshop preferred), including animation
o User interface design experience a plus

You do not have to have completed a full game to be considered for either of these opportunities. We are most interested in passionate and dedicated team players who are as excited as we are about delivering fun and innovative games.

Compensation will consist of royalties on the title once we publish and distribute it. You will be required to sign an independent contractor's agreement for the work you will perform on this title, so you must be at least eighteen years of age to apply. If you are interested in either of these opportunities and you would enjoy working with a very talented and dedicated group of seasoned professionals, then please send an e-mail to helpwanted@21-6.com with the following info:

o A short introduction to yourself, including any games or game projects you have worked on
o Details on programming projects and work that will give us a clear indication of your skill level and experience (Programmer required)
o A link to your portfolio (Artist required)

Thanks,

Dave
