If anyone at GG is interested in creating drivers for a very cool 3D force feedback mouse in T3D, I would interested in loaning to you and/or helping out. This might make a good add-on and may speed up world editing as it uses 3 axis. Here is the URL to the device:

Force feedback mice have been around for a while (and mostly ignored by everybody). Wouldn't their driver simply let you use DirectInput's force feedback support directly just like any other force feedback device?

Why not make force feedback 3d laser pointers to make it impossible to use them for their purpose too ... :)

It should, at least unless they don't want any support at all for their device (not that they would deserve more than that for such plain stupid ideas). Why not make force feedback 3d laser pointers to make it impossible to use them for their purpose too ... :)

I would think some type of material would need to be created that would define the "feel" of the object.

My understanding is you have to define what the object "feels" like. The sample application I have you can feel sand paper, syrup, etc. I would think some type of material would need to be created that would define the "feel" of the object.
