Tiles and TileMap

Hi,
I am just getting into Tiles. I am wondering however, in the tutorial, I am given a single tile map, a single tile map image which has 4 separate tiles in it. Where I am being slightly frustrated is in collisions. You are told to select collisions in Tile Editing. I do this by, choosing the frame number I want in this case 2, and then selecting the collision check box. However, I have noticed this means all tile layers (0-4) for the tile map image I am working with are all with collision now.
What gives? how do you separate them? I guess I could have separate images, but then I would need to stack tile maps, virtually on each other. Is this possible. Seems a little much, cant you, as I gather from the tutorial, have one tile selected for collisions while other tiles (from the same imageMap, not?
