Where should i start with torque?

Hi, Its been a long time since i've used torque and i was wondering where should i start with Torque 1.5.2,if i Want to learn it, also i was wondering if anyone knows any good free or cheap modeling tools that are easy to use with torque and if there are any tutorials that come along with them thanks !

ooh thanks the TDN helped a lot, i've just finshed with the TGE tutorial for beginners and then got to looking at TDN i found some interesting things for beginners like free sound repositories, or free models , and other modeling tools i can use thanks !

I would recommend to pick up the book "Game programmers guide to torque" and start there. It's a great intro to the whole system.

What game genre/style are you interested in making? It looks like you own TGE1.5.2, is that right?

There are two "starter kits", one for a First Person Shooter, and one for a Racing game, that come with it.

yes i do own 1.5.2 and uh Afx 1.5.2, I'm thinking of starting with FPS, and then moving onto RPG as i've heard that Rpg's are currently harder to make.
