Open source bug threatens Linux

A weakness in the widely used Concurrent Versions System (CVS) development aid has left Linux and open source code vulnerable to attack.

Probably because there are still a few people who have not fixed it, or know about it DOH .. lol

The recent SQL worm exploited a bug that was known and fixed six months ago, and that was on the Windows platform. Look what happened because of the negligence of some sysadmins. Also, notice people are still running Windows for servers. Thus, I highly doubt it spells anything near doom for the open source movement in general, or even cvs. Bugs happen. Fix them and move on.

Well, quite frankly then, they're negligent and shouldn't be put in a position of such responsibility until they can handle it. Isn't CVS cross platform? So isn't this the end for Windows as well?
