T3D Meets NASA

We spent Saturday at NASA outside of Houston, I got tons of questions about what Torque was and who made it along with plenty of people did pics of me in the shirt, so hopefully this drives some more business your way! Here is the pic of myself, wife and kids at Space Center Houston!

I picked up the season pass to NASA since 2 visits with a family of 5 more than paid for the pass. So now I just run the kids there on weekends to play in there play area's and listen to the different commentary about the growth of NASA in general. I can see why developers at NASA would use Torque especially for simulators.

Tietronix created the Take a Walk on Mars simulation a few years back (I had a chance to talk to one of the developers at GDC). There's also this simulation project, which was created for NASA and made with Torque.

Ha! That's a great picture and a great story. Tietronix created the Take a Walk on Mars simulation a few years back (I had a chance to talk to one of the developers at GDC). There's also this simulation project, which was created for NASA and made with Torque.

I wonder how many of us there are here in the Houston/ Harris County area?
If there are enough of us perhaps we could start a Houston area Torque Users Group or something and get together from time to time.
I know that for the next phase of our project we will be looking for another programmer and it would be nice to find someone local.
Edit:
Almost forgot, Go Astros!

Starting a TGE users group around houston would be very cool, just don't know how many of us their are at the moment and sadly this forum doesn't have a mail system (and obviously why :)) I don't have time for side project, now for another 28 weeks anyway.
My contact information can be found on one of my websites:
About Me
That website is a little out dated, but the email is my primary one.
I've been wearing that T-Shirt everywhere, you should see the people who are staring at the malls around here, I have had a lot of inquiries and people taking pics so they have something to remember when they get home about the product.

There were a couple of contract NASA projects and i think some inside NASA that used Torque in the past. Hard to find those old post from the old site now.
