not to shabby ..
a little slow for my liking ..
maybe I can picture a moment of gameplay where a touching scene of feelings is in play.

I would much like to see something with a higher tempo.
One to represent an adrenilin :)
gw tho a little to melodramatic for me.

Edit:
Heaven is my fav. but still It needs to get somewhere with all this buildup.. sounds good tho.

There's a place in the game dev world for both types. I particularly like games that have those "touchy feely" moments in them as well as high tempo ones. Any good story will have a good mix of many emotions.

Good music.

On the first one, I don't know if it's just the way the synth works, but the horn seems to be accenting every note. The only thing that sounds off to me is that it isn't connected, and with the strings holding the pitch under it, it kind of sounds choppy.

The second track, sometimes the droning gets a little monotonous, which I think wouldn't sound that way if it occasionally changed chords, something similiar to like...you're thinking about something then *DING* you get a new idea, so the chord changes..yeah...*cough*

Third track whoooo Beethoven! Wait a sec...
Ok I'm going to come off sounding mean but I'm really not trying to, it sounds like someone is playing the bass line over and over again and just improving the melody, but since the bass never changes it sounds like the same thing over and over again.

Anyway, the sound quality is great.

Jiri Kafka, what hardware/software are you using? It sounds a bit "midi" like you're potential is a being limited by your samplebank. Still its good, although you might want to increase the tempo just a tad. Videogame classical tends to be a little more upbeat.

http://vault.bonusweb.cz/Miser/violins.mp3 <--- melancholic one
------------------------------------------

sequencer: Cubase
sampler: Halion
samples: instruments from Siedlaczek, Vitous, Garritan and Sam ...

hardware: NONE (except PC), so I have to insert notes, their sustain, release etc. controllers manually :/

I am still new to all this so I glady appretiate every comment ...

Hey, Jiri.

I'm assuming thats SAM Horns in that first example (the King George IV track). I like the composition, but you may want to try layering in some sustains/ portatos to extend a few of the horn notes out, or vary the velocity a little to smooth out the flow of that melody. In particluar, the second note of the thematic phrase seems a bit jarring. Dropping its velocity to soften the attack may help. You could even try mixing / layering in some of the interval samples, which sound really good and improve the 'realism' of the horn performances dramatically. Otherwise it's a pretty nice piece. : )

If I may be picky for a moment, I too thought there could be a bit more variation in the piano phrase in the 'Time Glitch' piece. It just tends to become repetitive.

I especially like the melancholic violin piece you just posted. That one is quite nice.

Keep up the good work!

Right after the battle, two soldiers sat down and started to play this long and woeful melody ....

Jiri don't take this the wrong:
I dunno if you can do it or not, but that track desperately needs reverbs on the strings and flute. It'd sound much better. Also a few of those plick hits sounded a bit rough. Like the velocity was a bit harsh on a few notes, a few others sounded like they could be quantized. Also a few of the plicks sounded a bit off, you might want listen through it again and just toy with a few but other than that, its compositionally sound; just needs some tweaking.

As I stated in another thread, I've stopped to produce new songs and started research oriented on which instruments sounds good together etc. - the goal is to find out how to make rich and orchestral sounding music.

In case you are interested, here is the first, cagey example of that research:
vault.bonusweb.cz/Miser/research_1.mp3

instruments used: violins, viola, cello, bassoon, oboe and french horn

any comments and ideas welcome
