Maybe if someone made the weapon models collision able ?

I dont know really though, just a thought, since i havent gotten that far into it yes, and its more of the "art" department issue, so not my problem right now :P

adding a collision box to the weapon solves this but will likelly add another issue as you move your player foward into the object ahead (i've read about this somewhere here) - i think in one of the tribes games they did this but then when you went against a wall or something the player would drop the gun

@luis - that dropping gun solution might be a good one.

One of the GG members said that mountpoints where the solution, if the mount points work correctly then that could be used to lower your weapon... >.<

that would be a more elegant solution (lowering weapon)

I don't agree with you on dropping the gun beeing a good solution - imagin an FPS close quarters scenario - you are under fire - run to hide somewhere and suddenly you're unarmed and under fire

You might want to take a look at this

haven't tested what they talk about but if you can get it to work on your project might be what you want (fix collision on weapons image for 1st person)

If you search "weapon collision" you will find many other blogs about it - if the one i sent doesn't help you maybe one of the others will
