Other game types

Hi,

After looking around in the forums, resources and searching the internet for projects done and in progress with Torque, I noticed one thing:

All the games look the same !

It seems everybody is using the demo application and just adds some new gfx and maps.

Can anyone point me to projects that are different ? Just need to see what the engine can be used for otherwise.

Frans van Nispen.

Check out our game ThinkTanks. You can also take a look at Marble Blast and Orbz.

Yeah, actually, the games that are being sold here on GG are different...but that was my big fear too that with Torque, I wouldn't be creating a new game, but rather a different combination of the same old stuff. These pioneers have definitely shown us something different though...

I can fully guarantee that when I'm ready to show my "pet project" thats done using torque, it will NOT be like ANYTHING youve ever seen before with a torque made game.

Of course, its still some way off from releasing real info about it.

Dog Of Prey isn't exactly cookie-cutter either.

It's still relatively early in Torque's life. I'm sure the further along the more differences will appear.

Unless you count anything that has a sky, some models, and terrain as being alike? :-P ;-)

Some of these projects do indeed look great and are completely different.

I can now satisfy myself with the idea that the Torque engine can do all I need.

Thanks.
