What is the raw form of most elements?

I'm developing a space shooter that has mining as well and I'm trying to figure out what form most elements would be naturally found in. For example, I don't believe there is much raw hydrogen concentrated anywhere but liquid water could be mined for hydrogen...

For that sort of information, Wikipedia is your friend. :-)

wow, great question!
how many different elements do you want to include ?
i would suggest coming up with a list of the elements you want to include in the gameplay and then look up their sources via google. this page seems like a reasonable one for getting the sources.

note that helium and hydrogen are also present in huge quantities as interstellar gas clouds, but that's definitely non-traditional mining.

Another site about extraction. More details than normal people want, but perhaps you find it useful.

Thanks for the links, its good information to start with. I'm figuring on starting with a couple base metals for manufacturing and expanding as applicable.

A couple links I came across on wiki that look good as well:
