TGB Physics Documentation?

Is there a good set of docs anywhere on how Physics works in TGB?
In particular I'm looking on the best way to handle water flowing over sand objects. Straight collisions are working, but the water just 'bounces' off the sand object. I'm wondering if I could use the Physics in TGB to have the water hit the sand object and be slowed down but still continue moving.
I don't really have a good understanding of the different options available in TGB for physics, but I'm thinking it may make a more realistic interaction than just the plain collisions.
