Animating avatar without source files?

Hi,
Some time ago I added some animations for a female avatar in 3DSMax. The 3D model is from here...
http://www.cubixstudio.com/Products.htm
and I also had a 'Source Files' folder with the .DSQ animation files that were easily executable and adaptable in 3dsMax. I want to add some animations to another avatar now. But for this avatar I just have the 3dsMax scene file and some .DSQ files that are not executeable in 3dsMax (thus not the source files). How can I add new animations to the avatar now?

We are still not sure how to export a simple animation from 3dsMax. The last link does not provide very much help for us. I want the normal "player" (the one from here: http://docs.garagegames.com/artist/official/3D%20Studio%20Max/Animation.html) to do a simple 'hammering' movement like an auctioneer. We want to export it as .DSQ file. Everytime I make the animation and hit the button 'Export Sequence', 3dsMax creates a .DSQ file of 1KB in size, showing no animation in the ShowTool. What are we doing wrong?
