Toque Game Builder - Logo Kits
by Sam.E · in Torque Game Builder · 05/09/2009 (3:10 am) · 4 replies
I was just doing some finishing up on a game I have been working on for ages (since I purchased this engine last year in september) and I would like to know some things about the logo kits that must be put in the game if you dont have the commercial version.
Logo Kits
---------
Can I modify the logo kits?
Can I place them at any time of the game or must it be at the start?
Are there a variety of logo kits? (I only downloaded the TGB one from an old thread)
- Thanks Houssen

You can use any of these unmodified logos for 4-seconds at the start-up of your game, and that completely covers the EULA.
We do allow logo modifications and different placement of the logo, but we ask you to contact licensing@garagegames.com before you publish. We just want to make sure the logo is still professional and that the placement still allows us to get our word out. (Splash screen requirements are one of the primary ways people learn about Torque, so it's important to us. ^_^)

Thanks David, I re-downloaded the logo kits from Deborah's link. I am also thinking of waiving the requirements of the quote (c). I will leave the first requirement because I like it.
@Deborah
I re-downloaded the logo kits and began modifying them, I will send a few over to licensing@garagegames.com once i'm done and hopefully they will be allowed to be published in my game.

Sounds great. Thanks for the due diligence on this...it's highly appreciated on our end!

The TGB images should be in the download you received. Those are the ones you should use. I read somewhere in an answer on a similar question that GG doesn't want the colors changed and such, it would make the logo less recognisable.
