A little confused about Torque 3D

What is the difference to the TGEA and the Torque 3D that is annouced on the main page, and what is the price for an upgrade from the earlier versions of Torque indie? Is TGEA just being shelfed? And why isnt the source code in the Basic Torque 3D?

Because well people like to pay for their pancakes in the morning. Live in their appartments and eat pizza ever once in a while instead of living off of a staple diet of Rice and beans with butter and water. TGEA is pretty much shelfed. TORQUE 3D is friking awesome but if you want the awesomeness and the ability to modify it you will have to pay the 1000 for the source code. This is not to say all of your workers will have to pay the 1000. If you have a team then your artists can pay the 250 to do asset management and content and design and your programmer can hand out the 1000 and make new builds for everyone and you move on with life. I guess some things in life you have to see with your own eyes to believe. So why don't you take a closer look at it!

The price would be the early adopter one.. $800.00, until the finalized version (end of beta) is out, which will still be for some time.

TGEA shelved... well I suppose you could say it is being shelved, though I hadn't really looked at it that way. T3D is the next step, if not a giant leap forward in TGEA's progression. So.. the name TGEA has been shelved but thats about it. If you mean the version that costs a couple hundred dollars than yes, barring an outside chance of one more bug fix.

T3D for $800.00 is a very good deal. But TGEA is still a viable option as well.

Sorry, just to make sure I understand this and didnt get it mixed up..

Starting June 1st, the upgrade cost from TGEA to T3D will be $800 but if I pre-order the engine before June 1st, the price will be $505 or was the price quoted for TGE

If someone would clarify this:

Before June 1st Pre-Order T3D
TGEA -> T3D ($505)

After May 31st Pre-Order of T3D

TGEA -> T3D (? How Much) Is it $800
