I don't see any way to change that now though.

Didn't mean to target 2.2.1, must have filled out the form wrong.I don't see any way to change that now though.

Nothing wrong with your target as 2.2.1 is the current iphone OS. Anyone connecting to itunes will be prompted to install 2.2.1 if they are using an older OS. In fact I don't think you can even use itunes 8 without upgrading. The only reason for wanting it for anything below this would be if the iPhone in question was running jailbreak!

Other than that it looks sweet, I hope it does well on the app store!

Strike Force Trio looks pretty cool, it definitely seems to be running smooth in your demo which is always a challenge. The video took a bit to load for me but that could be my internet, also on the site I think in the game description you may want to change 'Three fighter plains' to 'Three fighter planes'.Other than that it looks sweet, I hope it does well on the app store!

1. The touch controls don't seem to work or act all screwy. The tilt works great.
2. Framerate is a little too slow to be enjoyable once you have more than 1 or 2 powerups. At least in survival mode.
More later. I haven't had more than literally 30-60 seconds to play it.

I purchased it because it looks fun. Couple things:1. The touch controls don't seem to work or act all screwy. The tilt works great.
2. Framerate is a little too slow to be enjoyable once you have more than 1 or 2 powerups. At least in survival mode.

A full 30% of the users hadn't upgraded to 2.2.1, but were still on 2.2. Could have been jailbreakers, but the reports I saw said nothing about it. There was a thread about it on the Apple forums.

We've not had any problems with the touch. Are you dragging your finger or just clicking?

Bret, are you using an iPhone or an Touch, and what generation? We've not had any problems with the touch. Are you dragging your finger or just clicking?

I've had that problem with users too. Some drag by default, some click. It's hard to predict what people do. :)

I'm clicking dragging and keeping my finger down the whole time and moving back and forth.

I'm using an iPhone 3G. I tried both touching and dragging. The touch doesn't seem to do anything. The dragging works for a bit and then my ship gets stuck and then moves and then bounces a little.I'm clicking dragging and keeping my finger down the whole time and moving back and forth.

Most likely jailbroken iPhones. There's no other reason not to let iTunes upgrade your iPhone or touch and when you go to the apple store from the device it will tell you you need to upgrade befor you can access the new itune store anyway.
A friend of mine has a jailbroken iPhone and can't upgrade because it would mean he looses all his apps and stuff. I have no sympathy as I'm not convinced he got the apps legit anyway.

Also, congrats to the OP on your game getting approved!

Weird. I have a Jailbroken iphone and use it to both purchase apps and music from itunes, as well as grab freeware apps through the Cydia installer. Never had a problem with upgrading either. Once you have access to all the freeware packages you can download, it is extremely hard to go back to the limitations imposed by Apple though, so I can understand why he would be reluctant if he felt like he might screw his phone up.Also, congrats to the OP on your game getting approved!

You've upgraded your jailbroken iPhone to 2.2.1? Or do you mean you haven't had a problem upgrading the applications installed on it?

I believe I had 2.2.1 installed when I jailbroke it, so I am not sure if upgrading to 3.0.0 when it comes out would unjailbreak it. I suspect it would. However, and apps I bought are saved in my itunes and after I re-jailbroke it, I would just restore my apps back on to my phone.
The Cydia homebrew apps were all free, I haven't bought any of the pay ones yet.

@John
Have you posted about your app release in a blog as you will then get added to the created with page I believe.

Ah that explains why it runs the app store. My friends 2.2 phone simply prompts to upgrade each time. I suspect that he would need to re-jailbreak it if he did upgrade from 2.2 to 2.2.1@John

I noticed you're targetting 2.2.1 specifically. Any reason for that?
