Torque3D Beta 1 Bug - Mouse cursor hidden in firefox after running in web

by Trefall · in Torque 3D Professional · 05/03/2009 (12:35 am) · 3 replies

1. I tried to run my T3D project in the firefox web-browser, which worked great. However, when I tried to close down the tab with the game, the mouse pointer was hidden and I didn't manage to close the tab, instead I managed to close the firefox window. Bringing up again a clean firefox window with no tabs, the mouse cursor remained hidden.

2. I expected that my mouse cursor would not be hidden when I moved it outside the T3D space in the webbrowser. It's alright that I had to press ESC to bring up a menu to get the mouse cursor to show, but when it is shown on the t3d menu screen, I should also be able to see it as I move the mouse cursor outside the t3d web canvas.

4. I'm running Firefox 3.0.8 on Vista Home, running toolbox in admin mode.

To make the cursor reappear, I had to start up a t3d project again in the browser, and make sure that I closed that specific window tab. That wasn't easy, however, since I have no mouse cursor to guide me to the "x" of the tab. Maybe clicking on the Exit button in the main menu should be enough to close it?

Hey P,

Have you tried applying this FIX and recompiling the NP plugin?

That *should* fix it.

Thanks!
