Here is how T3D looks on my system. There seem to be some problems with missions that have water in it.
OS : Window Xp 64
VGA : ATI HD 4850 512M
Latest ATI 4800 series Driver( ATI Catalyst™ Display Driver 9.4 )

After playing around with it, it wasn't the water at all removing the water block doesn't change anything.
But Changing the Lighting option From Advance --> Basic fixes the problem. So I guess that narrows the problem to be a Lighting problem ?

@ Michael, could it be related because of the different OS ?After playing around with it, it wasn't the water at all removing the water block doesn't change anything.

What if you try deleting the WaterPlane and then adding a WaterBlock to the scene?

Did you say you tried deleting the WaterBlock? Did you try deleting the WaterPlane, or is that what you meant? What if you try deleting the WaterPlane and then adding a WaterBlock to the scene?

Ok, I just bought a new VGA card(I'm such a Torque fan-boy). The problem is solved, at least for me. So I can confirm it was something with the Vga card I was using --HIS ATI HD 4850 512M --

@Aun - I'm running a ATI HD 4890 1GB at work, so i really think your card should be working fine. If you reinstall your old card at some point try the fix i posted in this thread.

I have exactly the same issue that I'd describe as something like "semi-transparent terrain" on my low-end ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 (256 MB dedicated memory + upto 512 MB borrowed from system RAM).
I can't apply generic ATI-drivers as they refuse to install on my HP NX9420 (Catalys installation tells me to use vendor drivers instead and closes). Here's the info on the latest drivers supplied by HP.
ATI Driver Package Version: 8.54
Direct3D Version: 6.14.10.6764

I have this fixed for the next release.

There are still problems with running SSAO, Edge-AA and DOF though. Changes to these settings in the options menu will make any objects ingame turn black (in which case you need to delete\edit the prefs file to revert the settings.)
Are these problems fixed as well?

Fixed this by turning Antialiasing and other GPU settings to "Application controlled" in the ATI Control panel (or ATI Tray Tools or whatever your using). Then deleting the prefs.cs file fixed the problem. There are still problems with running SSAO, Edge-AA and DOF though. Arhh, thanks for all your help guys. I was having some other problems with the card and returning it for a new one. I'll try to apply the changes above when I get the card back. Thanks for all your suggestions.
