Need Help Implementing a "LEGO Star Wars R2D2" design

Basically, we have 6 "spells" which are really just a gun with invisible mesh and tweaked projectiles to make them LOOK like fireball, lightning bolt, etc.

One of our "SpellGuns" is 'Levitate'. Basically, we made the gun run a function for it's onFire method instead of actually firing a projectile. We are using the jetPack code to achieve the levitate ability, but it isn't working out the way we planned...
