Import .dts/.dsq

Is there a way to import .dts models or .dsq animations into milkshape?
Alternatively, can someone point me to an explanation of those file formats?
Thanks!

Is there anywhere I can find more information on the general format of .dst files? I'd like to play with/modify some of the original Starsiege: Tribes models (or Tribes 2 if the format changed too much, and the T2 ones are easier), just for fun.
Much appreciated.

The .dts format changed a great deal between Starsiege Tribes and Tribes 2 and the models are generally not compatible going in either direction. It is, however, possible to use Tribes 2 models in Torque, although newer Torque specific models may not work in Tribes.
There used to be some rather specific information about the .dts format available on TDN or in the Artist Documentation, but things have moved around so much I don't know what's still there.
Artists really hate this application, because it can open the binary read only .dts &.dsq formats, modify them, and save them.

For Tribes 1, unless you have the Max source files and and old version of 3d Studio Max, version 2.5 I think it was, you'll have to use a hex editor. Using a hex editor to modify a model is a major PITA. For Tribes 2 I think that the max source files are still around -- you'll have to look around on some Tribes 2 mod sites, but they probably haven't been updated to newer versions of Max. There is a cheap program called Shaper that can import .dts, then export it to Milkshape Ascii format if you don't like the Shaper modelling features.
