Upgrade from TGE 1.4.2 to TGE

by tODD k. · in Torque Game Engine · 04/14/2009 (6:55 pm) · 5 replies

There is a $50 upgrade from TGE 1.4.2 to the latest TGE. What would I gain from that?

Also I'm guessing there's no upgrade discount from TGE to TGEA?

Many thanks.

Personally I think TGE 1.5.2 is way better than the old 1.4 and going to TGEA only cost $145 to upgrade from 1.5.2, which is what I still need to do, but I would like to see more 1.5 stuff ported over first before I take the big leap.............

I'm not sure I need any of the TGEA features at this point - but it's good to know there is an upgrade package from 1.5.2 - since I'm not seeing it from 1.4.2.

@Donnie: Out of curiosity, what TGE 1.5 stuff would you want ported over? Be specific.

Edit: Sorry for the thread hijacking... By the way, if I recall correctly we're looking into a way to do direct TGE 1.4.2 -> TGEA upgrades, but for now upgrading to 1.5 and then to TGEA is the same cost. No matter what, you shouldn't have to spend more than $195 to upgrade from TGE 1.4.2 to TGEA.

Thanks for the info! Looks like I'll be doing the small upgrade for now. Is there a 1.4.2 - 1.5.2 changelist available? And maybe also something that lists the differences between TGE & TGEA?

Check here for TGE features and here for TGEA features.
