Blender DTS Exporter forum?

by Lee Latham · in Artist Corner · 04/09/2009 (10:49 pm) · 6 replies

Can anyone post a link to the Blender DTS Exporter Forum? The new GG Forum's interface is....baffling. I can't for the life of me find out how to get there again.

Sorry to post this here, but it's the closest thing I could find.

btw I'm trying to find some docs on creating collision meshes in Blender.

I have been, my friend, I have. Don't suppose you know how to get to the forum in question? Or has it been combined into the Artist's Forum?

Really I guess I'm looking for help with the forum interface. I can figure out TGE, but I'm having a heck of a time with the new forum interface.

you are in the blender forum all 3d programs have been put in the art section of the forums. there are tags for specific topics like the one your in now which is for blender. there is non specific for the exporters this is where everything will be placed. the site has changed and this seems to be the way its going to stay with more changes like the last update for the site.

i liked the other way as well but this is not to bad and its getting better every update.

Thanks Brandon, I appreciate the heads up. Yeah well, the search is 10000% better, so my only *serious* beef has been addressed. And I can deal with some forums being conflated. But the giant icons at the top of every forum page, and putting the first post in some kind of amazing vanishing context is an ergonomic mess, causing one to almost always have to scroll down, or do so more than would be necessary. Just a lot of work for the eyeballs.

Definitely looks pretty, though, and maybe faster too :-) And I would like to mention again that I actually whooped out loud when I accidentally pulled up this post during a search!

The latest available exporter located at Brandon's link is actually old and outdated, JSG has moved all support and discussion for the Blender dts exporter to his own website due to the aforementioned changes -- he moved before they re-created the Blender sub-forums in the Artist Corner.

The Artist Documentation page still contains a link to the old exporter (v0.97 is the new one available from JSG), and a few tutorial links also.

Could someone maybe create a sticky to the blender exporter project page? That way this kind of stuff won't happen again?
