ShapeBase

Can you spawn a ShapeBase object via script? Or do you have to write a new class in the engine based on ShapeBase? I am trying to spawn ShapeBase objects via script and they are created but I cannot see them. ShapeBase has everything I need. How can I use this class in script to spawn objects that I can see? Thanks. Robert.

Why are you bumping this? It's a year older and I know for a fact that Robert can spawn what he wants... :)

For cCorey, since Robert knows what he's doing now...

Make sure you are giving the spawned ShapeBase a posistional transform. If not, it it probably invisible because its who knows where.

Thanks John, im almost positive this is my problem! Thank you!

Sorry for the bump, I just figured I would use an existing thread to get the info rather than start a new one, plus the topic is pretty self explanatory, and thats all people can search, so maybe it will help someone with a similar problem someday :D

@ Corey,

Ben was probably a little short there, but it would be better to say:

"I know this thread is a little more that a year old, but I have a similar question."

We have a big problem with a simple BUMP. It is the lazy person's way of getting attention. Unfortunately, the attention is usually negative. The problem is there is nothing specific to work on or answer.

Anyway, I'm glad John was able to help you.

What the hell does bump mean?

Bumping a thread means posting in it to bring it to the top of the list, so it gets a response, or just gets noticed.
